When I first got into racing we had that same rule so I ran truck shocks. One ton on the right front, half ton across the rear, and a stock left front.

get a set of bilstien unless your rules say no they are stock replacement for monte ss or if they will not alow them likee my class go with a older deisle wagon on the front and s-10 blazer or 1/2 ton truck on the rears another option is get some racing shocks for the front and paint then and fill in all the # with super glue most tech guys won't have you pull the front shocks off to look at them and even if they do it's hard to prove anything with out #'s on them

Run the stock shocks until they ain't looking for shocks anymore than do what 17j says, just paint them. Its crazy that they won't let you use them, they come now as cheap as stock. And they take some of the danger out of racing when all the cars handle fairly good. I hate that "no racing shocks or springs" rule, I really think they are handicapping the new guys.

well like on a metric, the GN's came with like Bilstein's, so you can use those. They even have a GM part number I believe. As far as the springs, man it would be hard to tell on those.
