I'm running a 2:73 on a 5/8 mile track. By the turns i'm turning about 4200rpm's. Does this sound like a good gear? what gear would you recomned?

if its a chevy rear,go with a 5.57.

once again it depense on the tires your running but a 650 is way to much unless you have got some 36 in mudders on lol we run those on 1/4 miles i would say somewhere between 4.90-5.57 like marple said thats just a rough guess thoi i have never even seen a 5/8 before

heck 5/8ths is the only track i've ever been on.(besides a high banked 1/2 mile)
17j yer missin alot of fun.
but anyway, some guys run as high as 5.38 or low as 5.86 but for me 5.57 works.lol my dad wont let me run anything else, thats what he ran for years.
