i'm looking at running in a new s-10 truck class and the rules limit me to 320 ci any combo i want does not have to be chevy as long as it's under 320. i have access to a 318 mag w/3spd
302 from a 83 f150
305 from 83 caprice
also have a v6 buick from a 83 cutlas
307 olds from a 84 la sabre
i'm looking for the best bet for a consistent power plant that won't cost an arm and a leg to maintain

I would run the 305. my buddy had one in his car with a 280comp cam and 750 double pumper and made the trophy dash the next night. It worked really good believe it or not.

Go with the 318 and 3 speed. The torque curve is much better than the others. AND MAGNUM HEADS FLOW OUTSTANDING.

i was thinking about using the 318 but i have no parts like i do for the chevy and have no knowledge on how to make it run like it need to be ran. and isn't a 318 pretty heavy we can't add any weight and the box is gutted already want to keep as much weight off the nose as posible
