I know this is going to sound like a dumb question but what is metric front end and the difference between the two.

Most of the time when people talk about the metric front end they are refering to gm mid size cars from 1978 to 88 rear wheel drive cars . malibu , monte , gran am, granprix ,regal , olds cut. They are lighter and the track width is narrwoer . Some people don't like the steering geometry as well as the earlier gm cars. I have very good luck with my metric cars in stock and modifed form.
