Does anyone know where I can find a modified chassis kit? I don't mind welding, just can't handle the bending.

Jerry, when you set up your web address you added a period after .com. The computer picks this up as part of the address and sends us to the wrong place. I typed in the address without the period and went directly to your site. I,m sure you will want to correct this. It,s a good site and deserves a visit from anyone interested in a mod chasis.

Jerry, I checked out your site and it looks like ya'll do quality work at a reasonable price. I was wanting a kit to build a "limitied modified" I believe its probably only in the Houston area. It resembles a modified but has several drastic differences. For example you have to use stock control arms, limitations on bars, etc..Thanks for the reply though.

We're neighbors! I live here in the Rio Grande Valley. I have the rules you run by. We run Raceway & 105 when we can. Used to run Battleground, also, but that's gone now.

BBracer17,

Yep, that's me. I assume we know each other, or have at least raced together at one time or another.

Jerry I was impressed with the car. It looked well built and pretty light. Something else I noticed on the car is that the pull bar was slightly angled to the right. I know that I have read a lot of articles that say to keep it perpendicular to the rear end but I also angled mine. Is this just something done for dry slick? Also I only ran the big show in McAllen this year but will be running fairly regular there next year so I will say hi when I find out who you are.

ModRacer93,

The last time we were at Raceway we had the #24 & #15 cars up there. We did OK. I did not get to go to that race personally, but 2 of my house cars did. We will be up there several times this season. Battleground was ALWAYS awesome. It was in the 80's the last time we were there. Back when I was driving. I build them and stand at the fence now. All you guys are better off that way. I leave it to the younger ones, now.

BBracer17,

It's something we like to do and it works on all track conditions. That car also has the fulcrum system on it. That is a real dry slick performer. I look forward to racing with you guys next year here and Shady Oaks. Even San Antonio & Houston if you go.

By the way the car weighs 2039 with motor & all fluids less fuel. 2219# with 32 gal methanol on board (350 Chevy) 2243# with our 347, 60# balast, and full fuel with over 58% rear. Come to my shop & drive it. I have my own track behind my shop.
