I have been running a 406 with 5.7 rods with alum heads intake with a 1 5/8 header all the to the collector hard to get it to the ground if I went to 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 or to just 1 3/4 how would the engine react. thanks WPP

Usually....when you go to a smaller enhance the back pressure a bit....when you do would give yourself a little more bottom end torque....

Going to the bigger tube will render exactly the opposite and give you more top end.
