I heard you could mount 76 camaro lowers on a wide metric frame...is this correct? How much does this widen the front track? thanks

you can mount the camaro lowers on the wide metric but they are the same length according to a salvage yard interchange manual, same part. if you want to widen the front track, you need a set of lowers off a 1989 or newer ford crown vic, widens 1.5-2 inches.

THE WIDE METRIC FRAME IS REFERRED TO THE 79 AND LATER FULLSIZE CAPRICE, GM BIG CAR FRAME.

Is that 1.5" per each a frame or combined? Thanks again Hamer

I'm pretty sure all metrics are the same width.

the narrow metric frame is the mid gm, malibu-monte carlo frame. the wide metric frame is reffered to the fullsized caprice-impala frame.

THE 67-69 CAMARO ONLY FIT THE SMALL METRIC FRAMES, LIKE MONTE CARLOS AND MALIBU FRAMES.
