What is your preference, and why?

I am leaning back toward gas now...

ALKY, THE REASON IS THE COST. $1.60 A GALLON AND I DO NOT BURN TWICE AS MUCH AS GAS BUT CLOSE TO IT. GAS WHEN I RAN IT FOR THE CAMM 2 WAS AROUND 3.25 A GALLON AND NOW IT IS CLOSE TO $ A GALLON.

I have always ran gas in modified. Have liked it because less weight taken off rear at end of race because of fuel burn off. Had a $1000 to win race I won because 35 lap race went 83 laps with cautions and all alky guys were super loose (and some ran out of fuel) at end of race. I only used 8 gallon of gas. I was near neutral with little push at end because I run fuel tank far right side of rear and battery up high and far left in rear. I do run a bigger radiator to keep motor cool so more weight up front is disadvantage. I only run a 12 gallon fuel cell so this lets me put the lead where I want it, if I want it at rear. I believe motor will run hotter sooner if radiator gets filled with mud is another possible disadvantage.

I wouldn't go back to gas again even if it was given to me. I had a very noticable increase in power when I change a couple of years ago. My engine temp dropping from 220 to 160 I had to put a thermostat in to bring the temp back up to 180.

Then there is the price: Gas $4.25, Alky $1.60, even if I burn twice as much I still save a buck a gallon.

Just my opinion.....
