I have a floater that won't fit in my chassis because one side is too short. I was wondering what kind of material they use for the tubes so I can fix it myself. I assume it's typically just mild steel with 3"od but I'd like some reassurance from somebody that has done this before I attempt this. The tubes slide so far into the center section I would think they will line up fine with out a jig. Any thoughts?

Road, I think most of the time, the manufacturer has to fix this because they have to ensure that it is straight. If you get it a hair off of center, the splines on your axles will be getting eaten up from the angles....Just make sure, however you do it, that it is done right, if you don't you will be going through some spools fast.
