Do you want softer tires or harder tires for dry slick, and what about a heavy track?? I know you don't want to soft for dry slick or you can over heat it.

well, I was always told that you run the hardest tire on a dry slick track, and the opposite for a very tacky track.

I really think it depends on the track(sharpness of turns and length) and also the soil content of the track. This is where experience really helps in setting a car up.

Just my 2 cents.
