Anyone know the "formula" for putting leafs in a car. I'm talking about the difference in height between the front eye and the rear eye. I seem to remember 10 1/2 inches but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.

not trying to advertise another forum but go to www.rpmnet.com. Go to the bottom of the page and click on tech articles. There is a whole article on leaf spring mounting and splaying, It should help you.

Well, the way I work leafs is...I use the arch to manipulate the car for me, this way, I can tighten or loosen the car the way I want it. You can do this by simply changing the heights of the springs on one end or the other, because the travel is manipulated by the weight transfer this way, an easy way to get rear steer in a car with leafs.

Just my 2 cents.
