I'm just taking a break from straightening the fins on my radiator to tell you guys to stay away from the plastic flex fans. Apparently these fans will pull forward at high rpm and contact the radiator. Luckily it only flattened the fins but it could have been worse. It was about 2 inches away from the radiator, I thought that would be ok.

Where can you get those fans?

I have a feeling that the weight is why these guys are using it. Its bound to be lighter than a 6 blade.

I've been using a made for racing plastic fan for years without any problems.(after a metal fan ate my radiator) I trimmed the tips to miss my hood and trimmed the aft edge to miss my belts and fuel pumpand it's doing a fine job, but when you run alky you don't need much of a fan. I've seen alot of metal fans crack at the blade root in the radius so keep an eye on them.
