I have run 61/2 at idle and blown the needle off, so sounds like he is right.

The carb guy that i bought it from had me at 6 pnds at idle and no more than 11 at full but that was with a block mount pump. Now i have the belt drive and it idles at 3 pnds and hits 11 when i stab it. I have yet to put it on the track to see (rain).Do you know if there is diff pills?

There are different pills. You can make your own out of 3/8 br*** round stock and a small ***ortments of drill bits. ( this aint indy racing) Or, you can pay 8 bucks each for them from your local track guy. I think mine has a .090" hole in it. If you have 3lbs now its close. What does it have when holding ...say 5000 rpms?

Im not sure what it is at 5000 im not a big fan of free reving the motor (stock rods). When we get to put it on the track i will check in hot laps to see.Where should i be?

Anyone know how to get more power ***ist from the steering side of my KSE pump?? Got rid of the binding in the steering with a rebuilt steering sector and flushing the system w/ real PS fluid, but it's still just a little stiff for my taste. Thx for any help, guys..

Ya mine is kinda tight at low rpm not sure at racing speed. Is yours tight when racing?

The KSE runs less pressure than a stock style pump. All I can suggest is to remove any restriction on the return line - that is help the fluid flow easier(back to the pump). I know of one guy who mounted his tank in front of the radiator just to help move the fluid out of the box easier.

DR14, yea, a little stiff when racing, but at least it doesn't bind anymore. Got wicked arthritis in my shoulders (and I'm only 35), so even a 20 lapper gets to be pretty long if the weather ain't perfect. Someone told me I could change that big fat spring in the PS pump once.. Guess I should just call KSE on this one. I'll post whatever I find out.
