There are bathroom type scales that you can buy for just around 300 bucks. They work fine for a bomber. Its the first tool to get, but I do realize its usually not the first one anyone buys, but it should be. That is, if you want to win.

well here is what i do get a 1 inch socket and place it on the center of your floor jack then put it under the rearend the very center of it not on the back lip but just in front of it on the rearend suface start jacking the car upand have a buddy try to turn the left rear tire when the tire just starts breaking loose measure how high the right reartire is off the ground at our track we go by about the thickness of a 2 by 4 but it should be off the ground 1 to 3 inches depending on the banking of your track that is a poormans way of checking the wedge in your car bill k

your question about leaf or coil springs?
both have good and bad points, take a look at
whats winning at the track you race at.
then decide from there

On the issue of Leaf or Coil. If you are running a stock type rear suspension and bird cages are not permited, I think leaf springs have the advantage because they allow the rear to rap assisting in forward bite were as
a coil set-up has solid mounts.

Look in the small ads in the back of circle track magazine. They are there.

I know of a couple racers that have had bathroom scales and they have never gotten closer than 30-60 lbs on a wheel. If anyone has gotten closer results than these I would like to know what manufactor they have, otherwise you had mite better use the 1 inch socket system.(for a bomber)
