We race a SPORTSMAN class car up here in OR and i'm having trouble getting the car to launch up out of the corners. It just seems to spin the wheels and won't hook up. We rtace on a 1/4 mile dirt semi banked track. I would be grateful to any help with this.

What type of rear suspension do you have? Do you have a 5th coil/lift bar?

Ok, guys its like this, You have to think those cars like pickup trucks. Not trying to be funny, but the only way to hook them up good is lots of rear %. I ran stockcar for a long time before I went modified racing,Won lots of races too. When I first started I was the same way. The rearend wanted to beat the front end off the corner, then an old time racer taught me the secret, rear percent and a lot of it (60to65%). You have to get those tires digging and springs need help. I ran a 3100lb car on dot tires. 1700lb rf spring 1400 lf spring 13" lr spring 350lb 11" 300lb rr spring.Shocks are what you prefer,(track conditions).I would run a 406ci if your allowed. I hope this helps
