I've always used a "conventional" spray rig, but have wondered about trying out an HVLP. What is your experiences with this type sprayer? Is it hard to make the switch? Will there be less overspray using the "cheap" enamels? Is there a low priced model that will fill the bill-or should I be thinking I need to spend more to get a decent finished product?

I bought one of the gravity-feed guns (hvlp) a couple of years ago, for about a hundred bucks. Way less overspray, less air used, easier to set-up (for me, at least) better control, and better outcome. I have three siphon guns sitting in a cabinet in my garage that I will NEVER use again, I'll sell them cheap, if anyone is interested

I have a Finnish line (cheap DeVilbis)gravity feed that I use for primer and Sharp platinum that I use for top coats and clears. After using these two I sold all my other guns
