and as far as the torque, this thing rattles the lugs tight enuff, that you cant really get anymore with a breaker bar if you check them afterwards.............i think its rated 220 ft. lbs.

The gears stripped right out of the one I just bought Chicago Electric. Luckly I bought the service plan. It was less that 30 days old.

I hope it doesn't also Ford5....Sending mine back today. I had to threaten to call the better business burea to get them to do something. It was less than 90 days old not 30, like I said previously...ie...Bought it 2/28 and called them on 5/20, to find out what I needed to do and it was a big hassle until I mentioned call the BB, she then ask if she could put me on hold and then came back with sir we will ship you a new one out today...So if something happen just stay stern with them, they did what was right after I did. Good Luck

Same problem with a Chicago Electric saws-all (spelling???), sent the 1st one back for a replacement, got the 2nd which lasted all of maybe 20mins cutting time---threw it in the trash. Just like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for I guess.

i did some checking on my cordless impact, and found that there is a grease port on the side that needs to be filled with lube before using it and occasionally afterwards. did you notice that? anyhow, after i lubed mine, it seemed to be quieter and more powerful.....ford5

Yea Ford5 I put lube in it, before the first use and once afterwards in the 30 days I used it, I had really gotten reliant upon it, I hate dragging that air hose around again, but Harbor freight is suppose to have another on the way. By the way mine gave no warning, it just broke or stripped the gear, you can hear the motor run but the shaft doesn't move
