Hi tomandan, get a Miller or a Lincoln. From 170 amp to 200. Ive never seen or heard of a 110 unit going over 135 amp. Built a bunch of race cars withy one but the 220 180 Miller I have now is far superior. SLEEPY

I've gat a Hobart Handler 135, flux core wire and all, it won't handle anything over 1/4", but I've got a buzz box for that. Tractor Supply has them on sale sometimes for $399. I love mine, one tip on flux core wire, use .030 not .035 feeds much better.

I personally dont care for the flux core wire it splatters to bad and makes for ugly work I plan on building quite a few cages and want a welder that doesnt mind to run all day....Towman

I bought the Millermatic 210 a year ago and it was one of the best investments I made for our team. It welds 22ga to 3/8in mild steel in 1 pass, 200 to 230 volt, welding range is 30 to 210 amps, it came with the regulator, extra tips, power cords, and at that time a free spool gun for welding aluminum. I paid right at $1350??? I think but man it's the Cadillac of welders!

I agree with GO 24 . Miller is having a sale on them right now. Had a guy stop buy my shop that has never welded before try it and it was like he has welded all his live. Will never switch to anther brand.

I have the hobart 175 and it made me look like an experienced welder(and I am not). I dont think you can go wrong with that one.

i'm a big fan of the hobarts also we had the handler 175 at work and i loved using it so i bought the 135 because i don't have 220 in my home shop and i couldn't afford the big one and i also have a big old buzz box if i need to burn big stuff .. and i'm with you tow on the flux core stuff never could get a good weld out of that stuff i tried it one nite and went out and got a tank and solid wire the next much better
