i just got through cutting a rear frame out of one car and put it under my racecar. i used to run just shackles and i was wanting to go to leaf sliders i was wondering where to position the slider according to the shackle hole. and to see if anyone has had to put a spacer plate under the slider to the frame to adjust ride height.when i ran the shackles it was adjusted down to the 2nd hole. so when i put the sliders on it will lower the car. just wondering what some people done to their own car.... thanks guys

Sorry, we have to run stock location. No sliders allowed on leafs. I wonder what is gained by them besides freedom of movement which allows the first few inches of travel to be extra soft? A well oiled shackle will also move freely and multi mounts can give you the adjustment up or down. If you can relocate the front of the spring mount cut and raise it. The leaf susp is a basic two link, if your line of thrust thru the link is pushing up on the car it's also pushing down on the axle providing more traction at the tire. Raise the pickup point above the axle and you will see a difference. I have herd of some racers floating the right side spring perch, (or was it the left), but then tieing it back down for a dryslick. Look back and maybe it's in the archives. Good luck.
