doing away with the tranny mount, what do you think mid plate or the 2 peice rear engine mounts? this is for a camaro, allready use the hydraulic thoughout, and plan on getting new headers for 06.

Unless you are running a steel bell housing I would keep the trany mount. We broke several aluminum housings with a gutted lightweight muncie hanging on an aluminum bell housing. We made a small trans mount out of 3/4 and 1/2 inch square tube and didn't loose another one. As for mounts.. Use a motor plate if possable!

If there is room(no stock firewall)use the mid-plate.Stiffer is always better.Don't forget the extra-long dowels for alignment.

rules state we have to run the steel housing so there isnt a problem there. thanx for reminding me about the longer dowels.
