I run a 72 Chevelle frame, mid 70's Camaro spindles, stock Chevelle lower arms. Is there a stock A-arm that will replace the old uppers. Like off of a metric or some other car? The old Chevelle arms are getting hard to find. We can't run tubular.
Thanks

So I'm guessing no one has tried this? Or is it that there is no other A-arm besides A body cars that will interchange? I can change the mounting towers if need be.
Thanks

Thanks bob, I'll keep checking back. Horsepower isn't any good if ya can't get'er through the turns!

Since you can change the mounting towers,I would use the 70-81 Camaro uppers. These are are almost straight and will let you get a lower ride height.Their the next best thing to tubulars. With the correct reinforcement you can cut them out and run the shocks through like the tubulars.

Thats what I'm trying to get away from is the old drop type arm.

ct, I was kind of looking towards the Camaro but didn't know if it would work by not having the drop. We also have to run the shock in stock location.

I just didn't know if there was some other one that had the same distance between bolt holes to bolt right up or not.
Thanks guys!

If you need a slight drop, use the 78-87 Impala. You still have to change the mount,it's the same as the Camaro.

Ive never messed with your clip or looked at them much but.

I do know the metric uppers drop like yours.

The camaro ones do not. The camaro clip or any clip useing the same upper doesnt have as high a frame where the a arms bolt to.

I think I would just continue to find the correct ones myself.

Try car-part.com, I know you can get lowers for your car on there for as low as 20 bucks.
