I see everyone talking about motor setups and what is legal and illegal. Do the tracks make up there own rules about what you can and cannot run or do they follow the imca rule book. I am going to build a car for next season but everyone states something different as far as rules go.

You would have to check with each track. IMCA is a big one that a lot of tracks go with, UMP is another, then their are other ones as well. Give the track you want to run at a call or hop on their website.

Build a car that will be rules legal at whatever tracks you're going to race at. If it isn't legal at one track don't do it. That's the way we have to build ours. It's harder to be competitive at the tracks with more "open" rules, but it beats trailering for 3 hours to find out you can't race.
