I know its not dealing with a race car but I have a 6 cylinder 79 gmc p/u and want to put a 350 small block in it. What changes will I have to do to make it fit? Will I have to change motor mounts or there location. I also have a 350 trany to put on the short block. Thanks in advance

Don't know if this helps, but...

I put a '77 straight six in a '69 GMC and all I did was change the front motor mounts. In the '69, it was a very easy swap.

One word of caution, in a different car, I used one of the 6 shooter transmissions (turbo 250) behind a mild small block in a street car and it burned it up in about 5k miles. So definetaly use the 350 trans.
