I had to go to a 15 inch spring in the left rear. I have a 13 inch spring in the right rear will there be any adverse effect in running a spring 2 inches taller?

Yes I was running out of screw jack and was over an inch low the 15 inch spring makes the ride height perfect but afraid the car will be even tighter. Any suggestions?

If the car is too tight why are you raising the left rear??Where in the corner is it too tight. And what are your ride heights??

The push is in the middle. Ride heights need to be lf 6 1/2 rf 6 lr 6 1/2 rr 6 but with the 13 inch spring the most I can get the lr is 5 with the 15 spring in the lr I get the heights perfect.

Are we talking about a Metric Dirt car??
If we are those ride heights are way different than what I and most people I know run.

Why would the taller spring make a difference?

2" of jack bolt or 2" of spring is still 2". Isn't a 200 lb 13" spring the same rate as a 200 lb 15" spring?

The weight transfer and suspension travel will be same, won't it?

I still dont understand the raise the left rear when its got a push any how.And the right being lower than the left???Help me understand the set up so maybe I can help.?My ride heights the right is always taller than the left. And I would have to agree 200lbs spring rate is 200lbs be it 11,13 or 15.Taller spacer would work to.My left sides are in the dirt almost literally. But we run drop spindles.

Well you are right in aways 200lb is 200lb it just the spring bind that you have more lee way

in other words if you are running a 11 inch springs in the rear and your car isnt sitting right as far as ride heights or if you are not getting enough bite you can go with taller lghter springs (hopefully you all know that already)

But to awsner your question the reason most people run a 16 or 11 or what ever depends on what they have for rear mounts and what there car sits for ride heights

What in the world your chassis builder wants them ride heights that way is beond me
your car will be way wrong the first time you go in the corner first thing it will push going in BAD then your car wil upset in the middle of the corner and when it goes to rol back on the left rear to come off the corner it will spin ya out cause you will have so much rr in it

I would definatly think long and hard on them heights.

O ya one more thing we went with a 13 inch spring in the left rear and a 11 in the rr to get our heights where we wanted them and our rr was 1 inch higher then our left rear still with a 2 inch difference in springs

Well in his case I have no idea why he would want to BUT in our case our frame had so much cross added in the frame when it was built that we had to put that tall of spring in it just to get it right OR i guess we we could have put the 13 inch springs in it and just cut the one to make the ride height work

I understand why you all done it.But the lower right ride heights? To me the weight wouldnt have far to go to already be in a bad situation in the corner.I have had my ride heights set but had lots of weight on the right rear, the car never came back on the straights. It was like riding around with the left front off all the way around even on the straights.Heck coming off the corner was all I could do to see over the lf fender.lol
