me and a buddy got to talkin about metric cars and he says the regals and malibu's are lighter becuz there narrower cars. I thought all g-bodies atleast the frames were the same...


anyone got the real ANSWER. thanx

Don't know about the regal but the malibu is a bigger and has a heavier duty front end than the monte carlos..ect

all metric chassis are the same depending on years the earlier ones had smaller bearings and such the v6 and v8 use different sway bars but the frames are all the same now the bodies were bigger on some but not the frame

so what cars were bigger or smaller than others. and how much enough to c on scales

weight wise for metrics pont. le mans is the lightest then malibu,regal,cutlas,monte, and grand prix is the heavyiest.the lemans and malibu have that big opera window thats what makes them lighter.grand prix always use super heavy bumpers thats what makes then the heaviest.frame wise they are all the same except malibu is a touch shorter on the front horn parts wise the change is 81 older has smaller spindle pins and bearings newer went to bigger ones
