Last week I broke an axle and when we went to replace it the brake pad on the RR was completely oil soaked. I run a welded chevy 10 bolt rear end with drum brakes. My question is with the welded rear end how much do you think having one brake pad not working efficently was hurting (do you think the one side was pulling the car that way)I think the car handled much better but am being told it's all in my head that with the welded rear end it wouldn't of made that much difference. I've been a front runner the last half the year but won my first feature of the year friday.

I don't like to run much RR brake anyway. Just make sure your LR brake is adjusted and working well, and make sure the leak is fixed.

While we had it apart I went ahead and replaced both bearings and seals. the last couple weeks it had been just slightly loose on a dry slick track and this week is just seemed better I'm not saying it was like blocking the right front brake off and then it pulls you into the corner just instead of having to feather the throttle I could steadily apply power and just keep going.
