I have been running a 3050# Camaro all season, and altho winless, I have had very good results. A lack of rules coupled with a lack of money seems to be my main reason for not getting that win (yet!)
Question is: I am heading to a "big" race at a track that will require me to weigh in at 3350. This will mean that I'll have to add a whopping 300 lbs of ballast. If this were your car, where would you be placing that ballast? What scale %ages would you be shooting for?

If the car is handeling good now,I would place it evenly on all 4 corners.Do you have a problem your trying to fix?How do the tracks compare to each other?

There would be no way that I would add more weight ot the fron of the car unless I absoultly had too!

If it were me I would add 100 lbs to the left side and 125 in the middle and see how the track isif it gets really slick or if it get really wet and tacky before i would mount the rest

The car (as is now) scales like this:
lf 726 rf 664

lr 907 rr757

Left 53.4
cross 51.4
rear 54.4
I am not dissapointed in the handeling as it sits. I would like to, more or less, duplicate the feel it has now--only scale out at 3350 total.

I am considering removing the weight from behind the rear axle and placing it all in one pile in the left/center of the car...getting to the same scale percentages I am running now. Thoughts?

I would put most of it about half way in between your seat and rearend right in the middle.

Hey you must be coming to EAMS next month. Are you going to run the Bomber class. If you need some info just email me I will be glad to help.100 lbs for the CAMARO whats the other 50 for .Remember rules state no rim width just 8 in tire rule. Most are taking the tires off and just switching to 8 inch tires on 10 inch wheels which they did last year.
