heres my delima...every race about 10-13 laps into the main event i loose my right rear tire off the bead.. i run a street stock(72 chevelle) with 255/60/15-24psi rr and 245/60/15-17psi lr. 235/70/15's up front 15psi on lf & 20psi on rf. my weights are 3640 total, 1820-49.9% cross,1976-54.2% left,1664-45.6%..i run 50/50 pro shocks all the way around. i believe my springs are 900lf,1150rf,200lr,175rr. no sway bar. we are not allowed to run bead locks. but i do run the circle mighty bead rims..not sure what to do, but it happens every race. car seems to handle pretty good, its fast seems to maybe be a little loose mid corner.. i think. any help would befient... im thinking of goin to a tube and screw the rim and tire(like on a drag car)... i know it doesnt fix the problem, just kinda puts a cruch on it,but maybe i can finish a race...

the reason for the screws is, ive already tried tubes b4 and have the problem of the rim spinning inside the tire and it cuts off the valve stem..

how about my weights??? i was thinking of changing my rear springs, to maybe a stiffer rr (175 lr & 225 rr) and what would a sway bar do?? i know there are different opions, some cars at my track run them some dont..

Air up that right rear. Don't get lower than 24 pounds. Those big chevelles transfer alot of weight. They have big heavy bodys that roll alot and put alot of weight on that right rear. I would run atleast 24 pounds in your right rear and see what happens. We never run less than 16 pounds of air in our right rear and we have bealocks. In our case it is not to keep the tire on the rim but to get the best performance out of our right rear tire.

I would also stiffen up your rear springs to atleast 250-225. That is a very heavy car.

I agree with stiffer springs and more air pressure. I run a Camaro, 3,200 lbs, with beadlocks, and I still run about 22 psi in my rr, and 225 in/lb spring.
