Hey all I run a 73 mustang in the stock class. Problem is we got hit the other night and bent the front crossmember where the strut rods (or radius rods, not for sure what these are actually called) question is what other ford cars had these. This is a weld in piece so I can't find an aftermarket one. So what models do I look for that would fit. Several old cars around here just don't know what models to ask people about. Thanks in advance
Blaine

i believe the 71-73 mustang , the 70-73 couger , the 70-71 torino, the 70,72 merc montego , and possibly these same cars back to 67 you might take a look , i believe in 73 thet started going full frame on the torenos , montegos and cougers , hope this helps

Dont look for a torino they have always been a full frame: Look at couger, montego but not Torino. What you should do is put this body on a like 80,s crownvic frame not a shock tower frame they are way to weak. Oh some falcons would work if that is what you are looking for.

68-71 Torinos are not full-framed. They are uni-body, just like your Mustang. 72 and up was the years for full-framed Torinos. Same is true for the sister car, the Mercury Montegos. 73 was the last year for the Mustang like you have also. Granada\Monarch is the same all years. None of the above mentioned cars would be worth a hoot for circle track IMO.

i forgot about the Granada , Monarch, and lincoln Versailles they were the same up till 80 , and what ford 5 said about the frame on torinos is correct , if you were close to new mexico i have a 69 mustang parts car could cut the crossmember out of would give it to you if you want it. in fact if you want to pay actual shipping i will anyway , thanks
