i contacted tci and they said to make a th350 direct drive i need to run a line from the pump to a ball valve and back to the pan. anyone done this? id like to know details on how to do this.

easiest way is do it like a glide, take the pump apart, you will see the pump inlet and outlet cavities in the pump casting drill and tap each side for 3/8 pipe, install nipples, then after the trans is in the car run a line from outlet to your ball valve, then from the valve to the nipple on the inlet side. when valve is opened no pressure close it and away ya go. 1 caution do not let the car run with the valve open for long periods as no fluid circulates to lubricate the trans at this time, use it only to take off.

from what i have heard . no converter.... and manual valve body.

you can buy the valve body from tci and have somebody make u a fake torque converter but they are hard on trannys everybody i know that has used one has had alot of trouble with them

We used the tci dummy converter and the valve body that dumps on its own .It works really well,too bad they made it illegal for this season!
