I have a street stock, with 350 engine. This engine has the dipstick on the right(passenger side). What application did this block come in and what is the dipstick number. Thanks in advance.

I think all chevy V8's were on the right side starting 1980. I have a 80 pick up with a 350 and it is on the right side.

Don't know the number on dipstick, most people plug them. The cheap way would go to a salvage yard and get one.

silicon gasket sealer and a 3/8ths bolt. It will still come out if you need it to.

Dont run a dipstick, I just seal it off, have a plug in pan that I check to make sure its full, besides when you blow the motor the dipstick gets blown out least thats what happens to mine. Eddie

If you want to run a dipstick, try checking a salvage yard and look for mid 80's and up cars that had a 305. That should work for you. Stay away from the vans unless you want the dipstick to stick out of your hood.
