WE run a GM metric with a 9" ford rearend. The pinion angle is about 2 degree up and I need to switch it to 3-5 degree down. If I remove the top trailing arm ears from the rearend, reposition the pinion angle down and reweld the top ears to the rearend housing will this work to get the angle down or do I need to do other things. Any help is appreciated as our forward bite is horendous.

Yes that will work. Either the uppers like you said or lowers will do the same thing. Personally, I would put more than 3-5 degrees in it but that's just my opinion.

it will work but you will also shorten your wheel base. you want the bottom brkts to stay straight up on the backside of the rear. not only will it shorten wheel base but could be put in a bind..

never need more tha -6 on c coil spring car, that is for leafs only 10-12 on them.

are you using stock brackets off the bottom of a gm, or do you have the aftermarket brkts?

I used the stock brackets. This was the first rearend that I retrofitted to a GM and using guesswork I really didn't know what I was doing.

you may find it easier to adjust the bottoms since they are set at less of an angle from side to side. you'll get less bind that way.

3 to 5 degree's is what mine is set at, I have my uppers a bit taller so their angle up and down is more which helps with bite.

The guy who set mine up knows his poop. He fixed my boo boo and put it right.

My uppers are fairly tall since I used brackets from AA Manufacturing, the bottom brackets are factory, getting close but not there yet.
