When buying a used Street Stock (preferably a metric) what do you all recommend that I look out for and ask? I will be looking for a car that either complies or can be brought up to IMCA Stock Car specs..... Any help is always appreciated.

There have been articles done in SCR and CT about buying a used car, bodywork is only cosmetic and can be replaced, I just bought a used car that I am rebuilding, I stripped it down to the chassis and am going to get it sandblasted so that I can inspect the welds, good welding is important, look for bent frame, bent firewall etc might have been wrecked good above all safety is the most important. Thanks guys. I feel I am beating a dead horse with all these remedial questions. I just know that I am going to be so excited to be buying my first racecar and am going to overlook something obvious. I plan on taking a buddy or two with me to keep my feet on the ground.
