I have a rochester 2 barrel. The fuel comes out of the passage on top of the carb that goes into the fuel bowl. I took the carb apart and checked the needle and float and it seems to be working properly what is causing this? Also what should the float level be set at?

Thanks

Sorry I missed this one....
Take the top off, turn it upside down and measure from the gasket up to the outer/leading edge seam of the float. That measurement should be 22-24/32".
Next, turn the top right-side up and measure from the gasket DOWN to that same seam on the float as it hangs down. That measurement should be around 1 3/8".
If you've got far too much fuel pressure from the pump, you'll still overflow the bowl and it'll come out the vent tube area like you are seeing.
You only need about 6lbs max of fuel pressure with the 2G carbs.

Hope that helps,
KP
