I ran the Crane Hi-6 in my drag car and when I went to dirt track racing I went with the MSD-6. The ONE thing I liked about the Crane was not having to buy the chips. I had alot of ignition trouble out of the Crane, because you have to wire it into the distributor, whereas the MSD just hooks up to the connector. (now I run a MSD dist. and Box) I like the MSD better myself. Not as much room for error when hooking it up! That's my opinion on them.

the wiring doesnt bother me I've already wired 2 others on my toyota and chevy pickup. I was just wondering how the crane held up to vibrations I heard the limiter can quit working if the vihicle vibrates to much?

have always run the MSD with good luck, got a buddy who runs the Crane in his drag car says its the cats meow, dont know any circle track drivers that run the Crane, I would be wondering also how well the Crane takes vibrations. Eddie

I don't know as far as vibration goes, mine was on a drag car, so not too much vibration there as compared to a dirt car.
