wondering about the best place to run the x bracing under the car. I have thought about running off the bracket that the trailing arms mount to. Is this the wrong idea? I have heard of making X part of tranny cross member. any ideas out there?

Thanks racer17j. Everything is new to me just been a spectator for 3 years in the stands. You sound pretty knowledgable and helpful.

thats the way mine is but where the bars meet I have bars running straight out to the frame. It gives more strength if you get hit in the door.

"X" from where the the front "sub" kicks out to where the rear "sub" kicks back in. Like racer17j said then run a brace to the trailing arm mounts.

We run ours like 17j said but I would weld it as high as you can on the front because we ran into problems with header clearance with it welded low. No problems in the rear with a low mount.

Here is mine. If you look closeley on the drivers side about a foot back from the center of the x on the bar running to the left rear there is some red paint. That is where a 1 1/4 bar runs up to the bay bar for the right side of my seat mount. It helps hold the top and bottom together. I have had no problems at all running this trans mount.
