I am building an IMCA HOBBY Stock and the rules say "no ballast allowed" does this mean no weight minimum then? Just worried about making car too light then not being able to add weight.

Don't see a minimum weight rule for I-Hobbies. If you build your car per the rules there's only so much you can remove from your car anyways to lighten it up. Give Kirk Neihouse or Brett Root at IMCA a call. They will be more than happy to answer any question you have.

This kind of what I thought but I started to think to much. I am pretty much trying to build the car for next year too....... Hopefully they don't change the rules too much for next year! I couldn't believe how vague the rules are for the class.

Dont think that there isnt much that you cant remove and still be legal our good car weighs around 2600 lbs and its a Regal people are stilltrying to figure out how we got it down that far and no we dont use light weight everything just took our time and removed everything that we could and drilled every rivet and enlarged evey hole on the frame that wasnt being used we lost almost 200lbs by doing this
