I was on here a few weeks ago and straight gasoline weighs 6.25#. We take this in stride also when it comes to those tracks that get picky about weight. We usually have to add weight for traction rather then buy more fuel. How much is fuel where you run? We are in Mo. and pay $4.75 at the track.

brian, your paying too much!we got nailed for six bucks a gallon at i-20,won't do that again.we can get it from the sunnoco down the street for $5.some tracks will stick it to you anyway they can.you can get it for less than $5 if you buy it by the barrell.check the fuel companys web site for a local dealer.

is there something wrong with running aviation fuel? we've ran it with a little bit of lucas fuel additive for top lube. 112 octane and $1.50 to $1.75 a gallon. **** of alot cheaper than 105 octane racing fuel.

as long as you use a lil top oil, avGas is fine...

as for the weight, I think you'll find race gas at about 6.8 to 6.9 lbs/gal

We try to figure this when we are getting ready for the feature, should we s****e off the mud, add more fuel, lead, is it going to go dry slick or whatever.
We weighed at a new track at intermission and was 3120#, 3100# minnium rule, added ten gallon( 60 some pounds) should have weighed 3180 or so and shuold burn off maybe 40 # on a 12 lap short 3/8 2 barrel track. would you believe the scale said 3060? I don't always believe scales are always accurate the way they pull you on there and with repeated cars and not being centered like you would get picky at home scaling. Or what is zeroing in. Just push the button, on yea try it again.

I use the av-gas and mix 3oz of Marvel Mystery fluid per 5 gal to lube it. Eddie
