Total C-R-A-P. Dont they have likesome much you can be over, like our rules say no more then 108" wheelbase but they state 1/2" tolerance depending on which moron they got running the tape or with your caster settings. I think they should have let the 5oooths slide. I dont really think that much would give anyone a advantage. So what did they do? How did they penalize you?

Man----you were WRONG. Quit whining! Your pistons were out of the hole and you knew it. So if they were out .5000 or .005 they were out. Take them off the crank and go have them cut and put them back in. Go racing.
Hey I bend rules all the time. Been DQ'd so many times the Dairy Queen should have sponsored me. I have tried to whine and lie my way out of loosing points and money. Then I grew up and thought about it like this: I am out there having fun. Doing what a whole bunch of guys who have their arses in the grandstands WISH they could be doing. I could either cheat and loose my integrity or whine and loose my integrity, but I wasn't going to do both.

Well said Eljojo. If your gonna push the envelope you're taking your chances, so be prepaired to take your lumps. Why didn't the engine builder catch this?

At least your track has rules and trys to enforce them, when it comes to engine limitations. Around here, there is NONE and it will take a LOT MORE THAN .005 out of the hole to win here....this equates to needing alot more $$$ in your motor.

You could have asked for a re-check to see if their tools were off just the slightest bit however rules are rules. If youre out of the hole when youre not supposed to be, then ask your engine builder or machinist.

When the engine builder built the motor he measured and all the pistons were .003 to .005 in dont you think they should have a little bit of lee weigh i mean a rod stretched or maybe it was because the motor was still hot but i just dont think its right

Get over it and go racing. As was said before, be thankful that your track is policing the rules. Your complaining and being difficult about it will only serve to break down the good tech that's in place and eventually cost everyone more money in the long run.

If they slide the rules to the right and give you a break because you're so close it'll be that much harder to make a call on the next guy. Look at the big picture.

You the man JoJo the part about having fun and doing what the poor bugger up in the stands wishes he could do says it all, not everyone can do what we are doing, I have a blast win, lose or draw I have a great time of it, meet new friends along the way and build up good friendships, if you are going to push the envelope dont cry when you get caught, I myself have done it the only thing I have going for me is that they dont know what they are looking for. Oh and 17j like my daddy used to say "you know you've had a good night when you can drive her up on the trailer" Eddie

You got caught with something wrong, if you did it or not it was wrong. I was at a track where someone got DQ'd for running a ratchet rearend and they never even jacked up the car or turned a tire over. The same track has a no tire treatment rule. Some of the guys spray there tires down right there at the end of the trailer in plain sight. I saw the tech man rub a tire and smell his hand and repell at the smell of it but never said a word. I also say them have a carb fail the go/nogo guage and they let it pass and said they were not sure if the "Holley Guage was correct" We bought a fiber scope to let them use to check for pop up pistons in a class where only flat tops were allowed. They said it would not be fair unless they looked at every car every night so they were not going to use it. That is why we are not running there anymore. So it could be worse you could be running against this, I know someone who is running a $20,000 late model motor in a Street stock that pays $150 to win.
