I run the hoosier asphalt pull offs. How often do you change them out? I was told mine were glazed and I needed to sand them. Anyone have any tips for this?

Thanks

You can get a side grinder to do that with or a belt sander. You will need something or someone to hold the tire though or else everything gets moving on you.

Has anyone tried the sanding discs in the parts mags? Are they worth it? Which one did you use?

A grinder works real good.

we run pull offs. i just hammer it on the concrete and scuff them. you can go by just about any hardware store and get a buffer, or just use a 4 in grinder.

If you see smoke coming off the tire, you are hurting the tire, not helping it. I sand mine with one of those flapper discs sold at Home Depot. I go really easy on the tire and then apply a dose of Track Claw. Seems to re-new old tires.

The guys at our track just buy brand new tires and groove them. That is the ones that can afford them.

Pull-Offs are all we are allowed to use....

We use one of those tack disc on our grinder. You just have to be really careful, thats why we renamed it a Attack disc!We dont run pulloffs but it works good on new or older Hoosier emod tires.
