We are running with a 7.25 clutch with a mechanical arm and the clutch will slip and then take ahold when the pedal is depressed again. We have practiced and it did it and raced twice and it has done it. Where should we look for the bind. New single disc with a correct radius face brg. I thought the snout on the tranny was OK but I will say we don't have a clutch return spring. Using a push cylinder. Any ideas

Air in the line heating and expanding, body twist changing the linkage geometry, broken or missing or otherwise damaged engine to transmission bolts.
