was thinking about raising the rear of my hood (done in drag racing to create a low pressure area for the carb to draw air from, aka cowl induction) on my street stock big monte carlo. I realize I wont get the air draw advantage but was thinking it may help remove some heat from the engine compartment?? Good idea, waste of time?? thanks-

well we have done that and we kind of have a scoop in the front the way we made the front from flat plastic. You can sure feel the heat coming out sense we have lifted rear and every little bit helps.

We have a new rule this year. The rule is that the space between the hood and the dash must be covered. One guy last year blew a top rad hose and it soaked him. I was thinking of getting some old welders curtain and rivet it to the hood and the firewall.

hadn't ever considered the safety aspect, thanks for bringing that up, I'll leave the hood pinned flat in the back-
