I was wondering if anybody has every used the axle housing leaf spring pad to shorten up the wheelbase.....(by using the last hole on the pad instead of the middle one thats used for the typical axle housing location.)
Now if I do the above, I think the spring would be stiffer and the axle may have a harder time wrapping the springs. Should I take the last two leafs off each spring to compensate for using the last hole in the pad? Would I need to go to a softer shock? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have used a bigger hole to move it.I wouldn't pull the left side forward more than a 3/8". To much oversteer on the staight a ways. I wouldn't be afraid of the spring rate change I don't think it would be very much, same shock, don't pull leafs.
