Anyone ever modify the internal stops on a saginaw steering box to get more left to right travel? Just wondering what is involved and if anyone can tell me how they did it.

Don't even try it dude, built steering gears for 10 years and you will create a useless gear. Once it travels too far, you will "unload" it, meaning all the ball bearings that hold it together and make it work will fall out and then you will have NO turn. Like it was mentioned earlier, go somewhere else for whatever you are trying to fix.
