Does anyone know what ride height i should shoot for on a third generation camaro/firebird? If you have any knowledge on these cars can you tell me what spring lengths you are running? front and rear. If you know anyone running one of these cars ask them for me I appreciate it. thanks

they certainly look more like a racecar low to the ground, but if you look around the pits lately everyone is raising the fuel cell as high as they can, hanging lead from everything short of the halo bar, and running percentages that truly ARE something to laugh at. your car needs to be setup with the lower a arms near level, and try to get about an inch diffirence in the front corners, and a inch frt. to rear. you have a hard time getting alot of rear percentage in these cars sometimes. anyway the ideal ride heights are something you have to work to find.

I built one of these cars back in 2000, It was a very fast car and I had quite a bit of success in it but I lowered it like 4.5 to 5 inches from the factory ride height. These cars come out with 14 inch springs in them front and rear. I ran 9.5 inch front springs in my last car. If you look at one of these cars on the street they set pretty low and that is what I am shooting for (factory height) but the factory springs are very very stiff, this is why I have been asking for some set ups. I talked to a guy that comes to our track every now and then who was faster than most everyone and he told me to keep it at the stock ride height but never mentioned his spring heights and weights. As for rear percentage my last car had 52% rear weight w/o hanging more than 50 pounds of lead. Thanks for the feedback keep it coming.

Don't know what kind of track u run at, but at our 1/4 mile dirt, semi banked that turns to dust. I help with 3 cars all run 9 1/2" fronts, 2 use 1200 # rf, 900# lf, the other 1400# rf, 900# lf

Update. I found what I needed in terms of ride height thanks for those of you who helped. This is a pic of what she turned out like. I led every race I have been in and either won or broke something. Sorry pic is so small.
