anybody run 15-40 shell rotella in a race motor? had a guy tell me it has more zink in it then most others,better for cam lobe wear ect. lots off turbo stuff use this oil only,over the road trucks ect. why not use this in a little high comp.race motor ? comments good or bad idea ?

Never heard of it in a race motor. If you try it and it works good, let us all know. I run Lucas 50 'cause my mechanic says so. He buys it anyway. Race on.

Have an old trucker that won't use anything else, swears by it.

All diesel type oils also have a anti frothing agent which is what valv. race has.

rotella is good for cam break in. it does have zinc. so does valvoline racing oil. another good source for zinc is gm e.o.s. either way its good to run it for a little while then switch to synthetic.
