have a mini starter that is good for 153 or 168 tooth flywheel.when I installed the starter it seemed like the starter didn't line up to the flywheel. Will it work on a 350 or do I have to do something different Thanks for the help.Used the outside holes to install it.Thanks for the help

Don't worry about the starter, you can't use a 400 flywheel on a 350 because a 400 is balanced differently from a 350. The 400 flywheel has extra weights that will throw your 350 out of balance.

You need to get a 350 flywheel before you concern yourself with the starter.

slowpolk forgot to mention this is a 383 not a 350, so he has a 400 crank in it.

maybe it just needs a shim, sometimes the starter dont line up exactly right and it takes a shim or two to get it right

If you are dead set on running 350 flex plate try it with a balance plate
