what will happen if the left side of the rear end lead by little over half inch is this bad. I was setting up car today and ran across this, It is on a Metric monte carlo.

I think it's probably best to start out square as a baseline and tune from there.......If after that, I decided I wanted to lead the rear end, Then, I would be willing to go 1/2 in.......If that didn't fix it, I would change something else.......no more than 1/2 in.....

However,Many people run more than 1/2......

So, No. I don't consider 1/2 to be excessive........

Good Luck,

Well, on the bright side, the lead is probably in the direction you want......Leading the left side promotes oversteer......or "loosens" the car......many do this intentionally, particularily for tight tracks.....

If the car turns out to be too loose using the same spring package you have been using.......then, you know what the problem is........But,You may like it just fine the way it is......

You are ahead just by knowing where you are at.......Many just assume the rear is square just because they have not put any lead in it........Not true.....stock frames can be suprisingly bad.......

You can "fix" it by redrilling the holes on the mounts.......of course, "fixing" it could be "breaking" it if the lead is what you needed in the first place.......lol

In conclusion, 1/2 in. is not excessive if you wish to try it......... If not, just redrill the mounts and weld on some washers........

Good Luck,
