Building a 85' monte to run Street Stock on 1/2 mile high bank (I-20 Speedway)Batesburg, SC. Was wanting help with spring set up, thinking about 1000 rf, 800 lf, 200 lr, 150 rr. 9 1/2" front springs and 13" rear springs. Would be greatful for any feedback on this set up.

do you run 2link or stock 4link i think you spung fine for stock 4 link but might go alittle stiffer in rear if you run a 2link or 3link which ever you call it

17 is right. Thats what I would start with,
but I tend to lean a little more to the softer side in the rear; like 175 and 200 and sometimes 150 and 175. If your a big guy then I would run the lighter spring in the left side so that your not to tight going in.

One thing I have found out this year is make sure that your front end is done and done right. We changed a few things in the front this year and man o man what a difference, we changed nothin else in the car but caster and camber and it made a huge difference! (just FYI)

But the heights (front 9 1/2" and rear 13") is ok ? Or should I go with 10 1/2" in the rear ?

go with the 10 and a half that 13" will have you jacked up and no room to add spacers

depending on what size tires you have 13 inch springs will give you more forward bite

one my sportsmen i changes to the new affco weight jack cup with the ball socket on the end it works real good to keep the front springs from binding during movement and with the limited things you can do to a sportsmen street/stock it helped my car alot

If you use the 9 1/2 in front you will be using some sort of spacer/shim or it will not be enough.
