working on my first camaro. engine set back to #1 b/j.

question is will it be better to set up high for cross, or drop low as possible?

it depends on the track type ur running flat track is different from the high banks. i run the flat track and we try to get all our weight as high as possible. atleast the hight of the rear trunk floor if it was there

GET IT AS LOW AS YOU CAN. Do yourself a favor here. The engine is a bunch of non/movable weight. Start low. Stay low. Race on.

Low is not always better the motor should be atleast 1 higher at the crankshaft from its stock location: reason why if you have weight alittle higher it rocks over on the right side of the car. If it is mounted as low as possible well you have just created a push that you will mess with springs and shocks but it is just the Placement of weight. For god sakes people you put more weight on the car to get some mysterys weight bias **** just pay attention to what you car says to you. if you was to have a foot race and i was to tell you hey here wear this 10 lbs shoes they will help plant your feet on the ground come on think.

im going to put it in today guess i will mount headers, and play with heigt.

probably just get the bottom of the headers to be flush with the frame..
